====== Backing up Google data ====== If you have a free Google account, you have to use [[https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout|Google Takeout]], which is cumbersome, but will let you keep your data if you lose access to your Google account. This process has four steps: - Tick the data to be exported (default works well, but will create a large archive) - Select how to deliver, including saving to Google Drive or Dropbox, and if the task should be repeated - Wait for the archive to be created - Download the archive The fourth step is recommended but not as necessary, if you chose to save the file to Dropbox, OneDrive or Box. A paid for Google account (Google Suite/Workspace) lets you use backup software to backup.
